A good example recently arose regarding an ongoing problem with council website search function.

I was searching for documents relating to a planning application at 565 Camberwell Rd.
The council website search returned a large number of irrelevant items.
The same search on google produced links to documents INSIDE the council website (even searching with pdf files) that referred to this information.

It is very easy to provide a search on the Boroondara Website that is restricted to documents within the council website using a simple search statement such as :
565 Camberwell Rd site:www.boroondara.vic.gov.au
This produces even more specific results.

See the attached document for the results of these searches in detail.

It would seem to be very quick, easy and FREE to replace the obviously ineffective Boroondara Search feature with a google feature.

Could you put this possibility to council officers and representatives please ?

Thanks
